Do I need any 3D or design software experience?

Nope! Every tool is driven by easy to use sliders and toggles and Patturn does all the heavy lifting to turn your designs into printable/cuttable files

Is it only for ceramics?

Ceramics comes first, but the pattern and export tools work for any maker: laser cutting, textiles, printmaking, woodwork.

Who owns what I make?

You do. Every form, pattern, mold and file you create in Patturn Studio is yours to use, sell and share however you like.

Is there a free tier?

Patturn has a free tier that features a lite set of tools and project files that you can edit and download completely for free.

Can I use this for my classroom?

We are working on offering pricing for organizations and classrooms after an initial launch. Feel free to email us if you have any special requests around this concept.

When are you launching? Can I be a beta tester?

We are finalizing the formation of our database and then we are going into a short closed beta state to work out the kinks. We are aiming to launch before the end of the year!

Every part exports as a closed, watertight mesh with no holes or flipped faces, so 3D printing slicers can print your parts.

Enter your clay body's shrinkage and upon export, volume calculation, or generated dimensions, the amount your clay will shrink in the kiln is taken into account.

Patturn works out the volume of every mold part, then tells you how much plaster and water to mix for each pour, so nothing goes to waste.
